Composer Amy Doerfler (DURF-ler) has been setting Bible verses to music since shortly after becoming a Christian at 6 years old. She is married to Matt and they have three sons. For 17 years, she has been leading worship at their local Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Amy began her study of piano, music theory, and composition at an early age, eventually earning her doctorate from Kent State University. Her great passion is to set large sections of scripture to music, with no repeats or alterations of the text, in order to help disciple and equip her family through memorization (Ps. 119:11). She also hopes to train her own sinful heart to meditate on scripture "day and night" (Psalm 1:2). She makes her resources available here with the prayer that other families might be similarly helped and the church be further equipped.
